Washington, DC: Welcome to the DC Caribbean Promoters for Haiti (DCPH) alliance. DCPH represents area promoters who have formed a coalition to maximize their contribution to the Haiti recovery and reconstruction effort. As the unprecedented scope of Haiti’s devastation becomes more apparent every day, your support and generosity are desperately needed. The group has an immediate goal to raise $30,000 in 30 days. DCPH will contribute all monies raised by making donations to Yele Haiti, CARE International, and Medical Teams International. This will help these organizations provide the people of Haiti with necessary supplies and services including food, water, temporary shelter, and medical attention.

Our goal will be achieved primarily through an aggressive online campaign through our website at www.thedcph.org and a series of public events held throughout the Washington, DC, area. In addition, members of the DCPH will be working closely with the Howard University Haitian Students Association as well as the Haitian Embassy to keep us fully informed on the situation at ground zero.

The groups currently involved in DCPH include: Arious Entertainment; Bakanal Inc.; Basement Knokers; Caribbean Vibes Radio; CaribUnited LLC.; Carnival Bandleaders Association; Crown Bakery; DC Caribbean Carnival Inc.; DC Caribbean Connection; EastCoast Caribbean Events; Fevah Entertainment; Garage Boyz Inc.; Gresham Entertainment; Ice Carnival; Klimaxx; Knockboyz Inc.; Mixx Productions; MyXradio.com; Peppy Entertainment and Promotions; Pumpstation LLC; and SekouFlex Entertainment.

The members of the DCPH extends its deepest condolences to the people of Haiti and our thoughts and prayers go out to the many families that have been affected by this incredible tragedy. It is our hope that our community can come together at this time; and with our contribution, as well as that of the global community, our fellow brothers and sisters in Haiti can begin the long road to recovery. We encourage you to contribute now by visiting our website at www.thedcph.com and share this information with your family and friends.
